More Information
William Hope Hodgson, born 1877 and died 1918, spent most of his
formative years at sea as a merchant seaman. Whilst his writing career spanned
only fourteen years he is highly regarded, possibly given greater credit and
respect now than during his lifetime. All of the pre 1920 titles are very
collectable and of value, the early ones especially so. The House on the
Borderland is regarded as something of a classic and a cornerstone title for
anyone collecting the fantasy horror genre. We have included American titles
when applicable. Tragically Hodgson was killed during an artillery bombardment
whilst serving his country at Ypres during world War I.
