More Information
William Boyd was born in Ghana on 7th March 1952 but was sent
home to Scotland to be educated. The first book is, by far, the scarcest and
most sought after. Most UK first editions went to public libraries making fine
collectable copies hard to come by. The majority of later titles were published
in greater numbers and are relatively easy to acquire. Serious collectors
should, ideally, seek out only signed copies of the alter books. The UK editions
precede their US counterparts. English editions are preferred by collectors on
both sides of the Atlantic.
