Truman Capote, born 30 September 1924 to 1984, became something
of a legend in his own lifetime. His best known, and most sought after books, is
Breakfast at Tiffany's. This title has been boosted hugely by the classic film
of the same name. All of the books were first published in America. The English
editions are rarer but not a sought after, consequently cheaper. In 2006 a
Hollywood film of his life was released bringing his work once more into the
forefront and headlines. An important author and very collectable, that said the
big interest tends to be Stateside, whilst appreciated elsewhere, collector
interest in not quite as strong.
