More Information
Tobias Wolff was born in Alabama on 19th June 1945 and had a
somewhat unsettled upbringing. He eventually drifted into the army and became an
advisor to the South Vietnamese Army during the 1960's. On leaving the army he
decided to pursue his literary career. His first book is now highly collectable,
only 1,000 copies of the UK first edition were produced and the majority of
these went to public libraries making copies in collectable condition very
scarce.
