More Information
Thomas Harris, born 1940, has been very successful despite his small literary canon. Whilst being popular initially he really exploded after the Silence of the Lambs film featuring Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter. The books are, unsurprisingly, collectable. Later titles are not especially valuable due to large print runs. The author is not a great signer, unlike many of his contemporaries, so signed copies do attract a larger premium that perhaps one might initially imagine. These books should be a strong bet for the future, they are superbly written and plotted with excellent character depth. Given that the original film is already regarded as a classic it should back up the books in perpetuity.
