More Information
TH White, 1906 to 1964, wrote novels for both adults and children, as well as non-fiction and verse. He lived a somewhat solitary life on the island of Alderney. He is best known for his re-telling of the Arthurian Legends in The Sword and the Stone and The Once and Future King which was turned into the musical Camelot.

His work is very collectable with pre 1940s titles fetching considerable sums when in their original dust jackets. The chronology of the first editions is a little mixed with precedence swapping. Even when the American edition was released first the English editions still tend to be of greater value and collectability.
