Ronald Firbank, born 1886 - 1926 was a somewhat eccentric author
with a colourful private life. He combined a life of decadence with his
religion, Roman Catholic, something which returns time and again in his books.
His work is said to have been a huge influence on the likes of Evelyn Waugh and
Anthony Powell et al.
He is, it is fair to say, slightly out of favour now, possibly
unfairly so given his influence. That said, he has left a legacy and is
collectable with none of the books listed in our bibliography-checklist being
without some collectable value.
