Dick Walker was born on 29th May 1918 and, apart from Isaac
Walton, was the most influential angler and writer in the history and
development of English fishing. He is the grandfather of modern carp fishing, as
well as the previous record holder. Needless to say his books are highly
collectable, Still Water Angling and Drop Me a Line being the most
sought after. Richard Walker passed away in 1985 having left an indelible mark
on the history and development of angling
