More Information
Richard Matheson was born in New Jersey 20 February 1926 and has
won numerous awards including an Edgar, Hugo and the Golden Spur amongst many
others. His early titles have become very collectable and consequently quite
valuable. Several of the books that were paperback originals also saw subsequent
hardcover editions. Despite not being the true 1st edition they are often of
much greater value than the PBOs. His two best known, and probably most
collectable books, are I AM Legend and he Shrinking Man. For collectors on more
modest budgets there is plenty of scope for collecting the true firsts in
wrappers.
