Reg Gadney British. Born in Cross Hills, Yorkshire, 20 January 1941. Educated at Stowe School, Buckinghamshire; St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, 1962-66, M.A. 1966. Served in the Coldstream Guards, 1959-62: Lieutenant. Married Annette Margot Kobak in 1966; one son and one daughter. Research Fellow and Instructor, School of Architecture and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, 1966-67; Deputy Controller, National Film Theatre, London, 1967-68; Senior Tutor, 1968-78, and Pro-Rector, 1978-82, Royal College of Art, London.
