Rebecca West, 1892 to 1983, was an English essayist, novelist,
journalist and travel writer. Her fiction is often dark and forceful with more
than an influence of Freud's early thinking. In 1959 she was made a Dame.
Early first editions in original dustwrappers are rare books
but not as expensive as perhaps one might assume. They are certainly within
reach of the collector on a modest to reasonable budget. The later works get
much cheaper and are readily available to those with internet access. The
bibliography is a little inelegant due to the constant switching of English and
American priority. Our checklist is in order of precedence.

antiquarian booksellers section may be of some assistance. |
