More Information
Philip Larkin was born in Coventry, England, in 1922 and died in
1985. His distinguished career rests on only a handful of publications. He spent
all his working life as a librarian though claimed not to like books let alone
be a book collector. Unusually his genius was recognised and acknowledged during
his lifetime and is something which can only grow as time passes.
