Nancy Mitford was born in London on 28th November 1904 to a
wealthy aristocratic background. An education in Europe eventually led to the
decision to move to Paris where she remained for the rest of her life. She wrote
magazine articles initially until her first novel was published, this led to
praise, acclaim and new friends, famously including Evelyn Waugh. She is best
known for Love in a Cold Climate and The Pursuit of Love. The
early titles in jacket are rare books and the most valuable.
