More Information
Muriel Spark, born 1918, is a highly regarded novelist and short
story writer. She has always written superbly, with great elegance and style.
She is best known for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, also the subject of a very
successful film. Naturally, she is also very collectable. As always the earliest
novels are the most valuable, the later works are all available at more modest
prices. Generally, English editions precede and are also of greater interest to
collectors. Anyone wishing to put together a full set of her first edition in
dust jacket should be able to do so without a huge budget. Many of the books had
very striking dustwrappers making them even more attractive to collectors.
