More Information
Henry Maximilian was born 24 August 1872 and has become
synonymous with the period known as the 'naught nineties', this despite the fact
that the majority of his work that created this impression was published in the
next century. He had such a large influence and and enjoyed the company of all
the greatest literary and artistic names of the time. Biographical details go
way beyond the scope of this page for such an important figure. Containing
ourselves to his 1st edition books then, they are, unsurprisingly, very
collectable. All of the books listed here are of interest to collectors, the
earlier titles are regarded as rare books and fetch prices accordingly.
Signatures, association copies and original sketches can fetch a considerable
premium.
