Mary Wesley, Mary Aline Mynors, was born on 24th June 1912 in
England, the daughter of an army officer that could trace its family back to the
brother of the Duke of Wellington. She is , of course, best known for The
Camomile Lawn, a modern classic which grew in popularity after an excellent
television adaptation.
