More Information
Mary Pickford, born 1893, was a very popular screen actress and
is regarded as a Hollywood legend. Her books are collected, probably more so in
America rather than England. The first five books were only issued in the United
States and were all paperback originals. This format always stifles collectable
values in our experience. The good news for potential collectors is that they
can build a nice collection over time with spending a small fortune. Her fame
was such that she was a target for autograph hunters, in light of this signed
books are not unheard of and whilst attracting an obvious premium, are not
beyond the reach of the dedicated collector.
