Marcel Proust, born 1871 to 1922, was a French writer and critic.
Whether his work quite deserves the huge reputation he has is a debatable point
for some. This bibliography contains mainly the English language first editions.
His main work though is the tour de force A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu,
a massive work extending to thirteen volumes. It is an extremely important piece
of literature and a full set is very valuable in 1st issue status and certainly
beyond the means of the majority of book collectors. Thankfully, the importance
of the work has ensured plenty of attractive reprints and reissues for those of
us denied the heady heights of collecting at this level.
