Manda Scott was originally best known as a crime fiction writer. This has has, possibly, been eclipsed by the historical series based on Boudica. It is an excellent series, clearly well researched, a series of novels based on historical facts. The writing style is excellent, something we here can attest to having read the entire series to date. The books became almost instant collectables. Eagle, whilst not rare, is the hardest to find. The success of it has ensured larger print runs for the rest. Signed copies are not exactly unknown, so the more serious or committed collector may only want to consider very fine signed 1sts. Time will tell whether they they hold their collectable value, at the time of writing they have done. Whilst many do not this is a particularly good set of books in an attractive and well produced format.
