Louis De Bernieres, born 1954, is best known for his most
successful novel Captain Corelli's Mandolin. The book was adapted for a
Hollywood film with Nicholas Cage in the lead role. Collectors should note that
the UK true first has white boards, black boards is second issue. Generally the
UK editions precede the US and are considerably more collectable.
