Laurie lee, born 1914 and died 1997, although primarily a poet remains best known for his book Cider with Rosie. The book has been a staple of English literature students for decades and is essential reading as well as being a cornerstone title for collectors. This is, of course, the authors most valuable and desirable book. It is worth noting for collectors that the book originally had a wrap around band, the presence of the band enhances value and desirability considerably. Serious collectors should only really consider a fine copy in fine jacket as the book is not particularly rare.
