Kurt Vonnegut Jr , born 1922, is a legendary American author with cult status. Some of his work, such as Cat's Cradle and Slaughter House Five are amongst the most influential and important of the genre. As a prisoner of war during World War II he witnessed first hand the bombing of Dresden, this amongst his other wartime experiences is said to have had a profound effect on his writing. Needless to say the books are very collectable, especially the early titles which are generally regarded as rare books and are correspondingly expensive. Several volumes were accompanied by a signed limited edition from the same publisher, these too are relatively valuable.
