More Information
Julian Stockwin began the Thomas Kydd adventures in 2001 to
immediate critical acclaim. The series follows a long tradition of historical
adventures, popularised by the likes of Patrick O'Brian and Bernard Cornwell,
and is set in the 19th century. Unlike some authors of maritime and naval
fiction the author actually did go to sea, joining the Royal Navy at fifteen.
The books are already becoming collectable and the general consensus seems to be
get them while you can !
