John Stewart Collis was born in 1900 near Dublin in Ireland. He
remains one of Britain's bets loved country writers. Despite starting late, he
was forty-six when is first country book was published, he certainly made up for
it. What his canon of work lacks in numbers it more than makes up for in
quality. His 1st editions are collected though they they remain attainable, in finacial terms, for most collectors. His best known
work is The Worm Forgives the Plough compilation. Highly recommended to those interested in the genre.
