John O'Hara, born 1905 to 1970, worked as a journalist before
becoming a full-time writer. He is regarded as a classic American author, not
only by readers and critics but also collectors of first editions as well. His
first book is extremely collectable and is very valuable, especially so in
original dustwrapper. All his work was first released in the United States,
English editions are collectable and do fetch reasonable sums, though roughly
half that of their US counterparts. There are no alternative titles but some
books saw no English edition released.
