More Information
John Collier, 1901 - 1980, was British born but settled in
America in 1942 and spent most of his life in Hollywood. He was especially
renowned for his macabre and twisting short stories. His first title is
generally regarded as his most accomplished. Collectors seeking to complete a
full set of 1st editions, including dust jackets when applicable, have something
of a task. It is by no means impossible though, naturally some of the signed
limited editions can present a difficulty, but as with most limited editions
they do tend to be kept therefore as a percentage they can be more common than
trade edition books pro rata. All of the books in the bibliography are of
collectable value, the English firsts more so than the American.
