John Clare, born 1793 and died 1864, his formal education ceased
at eleven and from then on was largely 'self taught'. Regarded by many as one of
the country's finest rural poets, his work remains a testament to both himself
and the lives and feelings of country people. All of the works listed are
collectable, the pre 1900 editions especially so in first edition state. Poetry
