Janet and Allan Ahlberg are extremely popular authors of
children's books. Their work has regularly topped the most popular lists in
public lending libraries and been translated into many languages. Collectors
have also begun to pick up on their 1st editions, something which is sure to
increase as a new generation enters the collecting market. Early books are now
fetching reasonably high prices. Many of the books were issued without dust
wrappers, in pictorial laminated boards. Signed copies are not common and do
fetch a considerable premium.
