More Information
Ian McEwan, born 1948, is one of Britain's most critically
acclaimed modern fiction writers. He has won the Booker Prize and the Whitbread
and his work is already very collectable. UK editions take precedence over the
American or are also considerably more desirable in terms of collectability and
value. Later titles can be picked up with relative ease and with modest
expenditure. Serious collectors may only want to consider signed copies in fine
condition when it comes to the post 1980 titles. The first three books listed
are the rarest and most valuable. As the author still seems to be gaining in
stature and popularity those considering collecting McEwan may be advised to
start sooner rather than later. ( Macewan McEwen )
