More Information
This Ian Fleming bibliography will provide you with all the information you require to ascertain and identify if your book is a true first edition. All the first impression issue points are listed nothing of bibliographical importance has been left out. Hopefully it will help with our most frequently asked question: how can I tell if my book is a first edition ?

Particular care should be taken to ensure that jackets do not carry later titles. In all cases the UK edition precedes the US. There is also a problem with price clipped dustwrappers on US editions possibly being from book clubs.

It is also worth mentioning that a first edition is the first appearance of the book in the specified country. Whatever some people may like to suggest anything published in the same country subsequently is a reprint.
