HV Morton, born 15 July 1892 in a village near Manchester,
England, was an extremely popular travel writer in his time. I am not sure how
many books he sold but it must have been considerable. No self respecting
bookshop or book fair is complete with a few of his unmistakeable books. The
earliest titles in dust jackets are not common though later books can be found
fairly easily. Many of the books can be found fairly cheaply as well, and there
is always the chance of a bargain with some of the pre 1933 titles.
