More Information
Helen Bannerman was born in Scotland but moved to India after
marrying an army doctor. The first book was never meant to be published, simply
written for her children. Although times have changed, the books do remain very
collectable, mainly as part of another era and the development of children's
books. The UK editions precede in all but one case. All but the last title are
very scarce in original jackets, consequently relatively expensive.
