More Information
Thomas Henry Hall Caine, born 14 May 1853 in Cheshire England,
was an incredibly popular Victorian author. Whilst not being especially well
known today, in his time he was outselling all his better remembered
contemporaries, and in the process making him a very wealthy man. Whilst largely
lost to the readers of today he does have a following amongst collectors. His
early first editions do attract reasonable prices. Fortunately they are not that
high as to make them prohibitive for the keen enthusiast. For those simply
looking for reading copies they should be well catered for. His work was
reprinted in huge numbers so copes are readily available at nominal prices.
