Franz Kafka, born in Prague 3rd July 1883, was relatively unknown
during his short lifetime. He is now hugely regarded throughout the world, many
readers and critics go as far as to say he is the greatest writer of the
century. All of his books were written in German so these English first editions
have all been translated, we have duly noted the translators, given their
importance. Needless to say they are very collectable, the German editions are
probably the most valuable though early English 1sts are also very valuable. any
pre war first editions in original dust jackets are going to be big ticket books
and probably out of reach for many collectors.
