More Information
Flora Thompson, born Flora Timms, on 5th December 1876 was the
eldest child of a family of ten, four of whom died in their infancy. Sadly she
found little success during her lifetime with due recognition coming after her
death, indeed half her work was published posthumously. She is best remembered
for the Lark Rise to Candleford trilogy which not only remains in print
today but is a regular text for literature students. If you are looking to buy or sell books then our
antiquarian book dealers section may be of some assistance. |
