More Information
Enid Blyton began the series in 1947 and although not as popular
as the Famous Five series it was, and still is, hugely popular with both readers
and collectors. They are also more accessible due to larger print runs ensuring
prices are not as high as those commanded by the Famous 5 first editions. Care
needs to be taken to ensure that dust jackets match books, note should be taken
of the tiles listed to ensure no later books are mentioned. For completists
there is also a considerable amount of ephemera available such as comics,
magazines and jigsaws.
