Elinor Glyn, born Elinor Sutherland 17 October 1864, was an
extremely popular, and occasionally risque, Victorian romance writer. The books
sold in huge numbers at the time and were something of a notorious phenomenon.
Today they are still sought after by collectors. In terms of value they are not
unaccessable, but you would require a fairly generous budget if your aim was a
complete set of 1st editions. For readers there are plenty of period reprints
out there, all of which can be obtained for very modest sums.
