More Information
David Almond has won the Carnegie Medal and the Whitbread Children's Book of the year.
His work has become very collectable and the early titles are both rare books
and valuable as first editions. Collectors would seek out all of the books
listed in this bibliography, even the later ones, although many would insist on
signed copies of those. The first two books are short story collections and
difficult to locate due to a very small print run from an obscure publisher. His
third book and the first for children, Skellig, is the one which won him
critical acclaim and the awards. Should be an interesting author to watch in
terms of how the value of his books holds up, at the time of writing they are
pretty strong.
