Daisy Ashford, born 1882 died 1972,
The Young Visiters was a literary phenomenon when it was
published, unbelievably written by a nine year old child. The
quality of the writing was such that for years after rumours
persisted that the book was actually an elaborate hoax and the
real author was no other than JM Barrie. Its success continued
over the years with musical adaptations, plays, a TV series and
a film .
The first book is still sought after today, anyone seeking to buy or sell rare, secondhand or first edition
books can consult our locate a bookshop section.
