Charles Langbridge Morgan, born 22 January 1894 - 1958, is an
author that curiously seems to have made more fans in Europe than in his own
country. All of his work was generally well reviewed and received. His first
book, in jacket, is quite valuable though other early works are worth a great
deal less than one might expect, or indeed than they should be. I myself
recently sold an English 1st edition of The Fountain in original jacket for less
than the retail price of a new hardback! I do not try to explain or understand
this strange state of affairs. That said, anyone who is interested in this
author has an opportunity to put together a nice collection with breaking the
bank
