CC Humphreys, Chris, was born in Canada and was primarily a stage
and screen actor before becoming a writer. His series character has becoming
something of an instant hit with both readers and collectors. Jack Absolute has
been described as a 1770s James Bond and is highly recommended to those who
enjoy the exploits of Sharpe et al. The first book is the scarcest, though none
have huge print runs. Anyone interested in the series/genre may well be advised
to collect the books lest they go the way of some of his contemporaries.
