More Information
Book auctions seem to be enjoying something of a renaissance at
the moment. At the time of writing, prices achieved are buoyant and there is an
impressive number of rare and collectable first editions being
catalogued.
The advent of the internet has made them more accessible, not
only in terms of bidding but access to online catalogues.
There are, of course, auctioneers all over the
country, many of whom have large and regular lots of books.
Viewing sales in your vicinity is only to be encouraged if you
are in the market to buy. Bargains and 'sleepers' being
enticement.
They can also provide a good outlet for those looking to sell.
If you are looking to dispose of a rare and valuable item then
we would recommend using to bigger players. Not only are your
guarantees better but also, given the reach and client lists,
you are more likely to achieve a better final price.
If you are looking to buy or sell books then our
antiquarian booksellers section may be of some assistance. |
