Arthur Koestler, born 1905 to 1983, was a Hungarian philosopher and novelist who lived in England. He wrote
in-depth about human nature and history about the people and countries in Europe. Not only are they serious in literary terms but also in terms of collectability, early novels are big ticket items.
True first editions in dust jackets of the early books are probably beyond the reach of the average collector. Anyone aspiring to put together a full set of 1sts will require
a considerable budget. Signed books and autograph items are especially sought
after and his signature does add a considerable amount to the value.
