More Information
Anthony Conway is a pseudonym of an apparently well known writer,
as of yet I have been unable to identify the real name. The books feature the
series character Captain John Caspasian. Very much in the Richard Sharpe mould,
the books became and immediate hit with collectors. The books are still
accessable in terms of price though the first novel has risen steadily in price
and whilst not desperately rare is uncommon. Books from the publisher H&S tend
to use the printers key, or number line, when it comes to identifying first
editions. Generally the sequence runs 10-1, the number 1 is required in a 1st
edition, otherwise you have a reprint.
