More Information
Anita Loos, born 1881 - 1981 was responsible for the legendary
title Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Her work epitomised what became known as the
Jazz Age, a time of great change and style. Given her legendary status and
renown it is hardly surprising that the books are very collectable. The first
two are the problem, both in terms of value and locating a 1st edition,
especially so in the original first state dust jacket. Collectors need to be
aware that the two Brentano editions are both reprints, though not without
interest. There is a signed limited edition of the 1st book limited to 1,000
copies and signed by the author, Brentano's 1926..
