Angus Wilson, 1913 to 1991, was primarily a novelist and short
story writer. His non-fiction works though are also held in very high regard,
particularly so his critical studies of Zola and Dickens. All of the books can
be found by the first edition collector for reasonable sums. The early books
are, as ever, slightly dearer but, still within reach of most. In all but one
case the English edition precede and are of greater value, financially speaking.
Authors such as this show that collecting quality 1st edition books need not be
the preserve of those with plenty of money to spend. Knowing when and where to
buy, a little patience and judicious searching can produce some bargains!.
