More Information
Amelia B Edwards born 1831 to 1892 was a Victorian travel writer
and novelist as well as a world renowned archaeologist. She was quite simply a
remarkable woman, doubly so given the time she lived in. We are unable to do
justice to her life on this page so we shall simply concentrate on her 1st
edition books. Needless to say they are all collectable, none of the books
listed in this bibliography are without interest to collectors. The triple
deckers tend to be the most valuable, especially so in original cloth. Whilst
rare and desirable they are still within reach of those with a reasonable
budget. For those operating on a more limited budget there is always the option
of period reprints, these are more attainable and many also have beautiful
pictorial cloth, making them not only a viable but also attractive alternative.
