Alexander Kent, who also writes as Douglas Reeman, was born in
1925 in Surrey England. He writes from some experience having joined the Royal
Navy at 16 and travelling the world. His naval-maritime fiction is amongst the
most popular of the genre with a loyal following amongst bother collectors and
readers. Decent sized print runs have ensured that the books are not rare as
such, though some titles can be tricky locate in nice condition, most are still
in print I believe but any that are not could be found be looking our.
